Sarah was six months pregnant when she got married which meant we had only a matter of weeks to make the dress.

We based the design on ‘Amelie’; beaded lace empire line, fitted to the waist and hips and flared from the upper thigh. This shape was perfect for a baby bump, the empire line nips the dress in over the bump, but keeping the dress fitted around it prevents extra bulk. The full flare of the skirt gives the design some bridal extravagance.
